Yeast Infections, Antibiotics, and Periods. Everything happens in threes.?

Step throat is very serious and you should continue with your antibiotic . Although you feel fine, the infection my not be completely gone. You don't want it to come back or even worse turn into something much worse than step throat. So finish you meds. Often time when you are taking antibiotics you will get a yeast infection. DO NOT USE tampons with a yeast infection or while using the medicine for a yeast infection. If you do most of the medicine will be absorbed in the tampon and not in your system. Actually, the monistat isn't as effective while you are having your period. If your yeast infection continues, you should contact you physician to see if you can try something else. Good luck. P.S. You said your boyfriend contracted the yeast infection, I hope you're practicing safe .
